First an update on the weather. From time to time we all have a what was I thinking moment. My latest is when I looked at the weather charts and read the wind to be out of the West. It really is going to be out of the East when we head to Suwarrow and that is a good thing.
French Polynesia is divide into five Island groups of witch we visited three. The first was the Marquises, then the Tuamotus and now the Society Islands. The Marquises are beautiful jagged mountains raising out of the ocean with the amazing overlooks. The Tuamotus were atolls with crystal clear turquoise and blue water full of sea life for snorkelers and divers. The Society Islands are both. Mountains, some what smaller as they are older, surrounded by an atoll. The snorkeling and diving is great and the landscape is awesome to a person used to flatland
My goodness, how could we not enjoy those pictures! When I moved to Florida I wondered how all the rivers came into being. There are no mountains for the streams to start with fresh water fish like in California. But those islands seem to have no problem with wide fresh water streams either. Much enjoyed. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI may not be able to communicate with you as often as I would like. The Captcha gotcha. I can’t read them or hear them correctly and they won’t help me. I type these and spell check on Windows first magnified and then copy and paste. I guess they don’t know what it is like to have ha handicap like I do. I seem to do better with numbers than I do with words
