We visited the sled dogs on our last
day in Denali. The park rangers put on a small demonstration. The
lead dog had a little trouble but they did make the loop instead of
going out into the park. The dogs really like to pull and run. They
are the main stay of patrols in the winter, which is eight months of
the year.
When we left Denali, we were headed to
Fairbanks, but ended up in the North Pole, go figure.
It was an unusual warm day in the North
Pole, the first day we didn't need to wear a jacket. Notice the sod
roof on the North Pole building.
We did get a picture of a reindeer.
