We drove to Anchorage today so we didn't stop to take any pictures. Here are some of the campground in Centinal Park. if the ferns looked blury dont work they were blury in person.

We took a hike in the Wynn Nature Preserve. The Alaskan forest are a bit different than home.

It is 10 PM and we are siting in Sherry's motor home looking out the front window watching four sea otters. It looks  like it was early afternoon back in Florida. The sun is glistening on the mountains. It is just an awesome site. Here is the view from the back of our camper and Sherry's camper.

The trip from Slodotna to Homer was just amazing as the other passages. The below pictures are from that trip.

Everyone is familuar with the Bay of Fundy, Kachemak Bay is second to the Bay of Fundy. Here are some pictures of the high and low tide.

We are in Soldotna getting the truck fixed. It is rainy and cold so here are some pictures of the trip here along with some rainy day pics. It does rain allot in Alaska. The two other people are my sister Sherry and her husband Jerry from California.

Tok to Anchorage

The trip to Anchorage was magnificent. The scenery was beautiful. The photos don't do it justices. The snow covered mountains and glaciers were just plain amazing. We had to keep stopping just to look.

On the road again, 

The camper is all repaired and hopefully stronger than ever. Now we just have to fight with the insurance company. We spent two pleasant nights with Sherry and Jerry and had local entertainment for the evening. We are off to Anchorage. Here is a picture of us back in the site with Jerry and Sherry.

For anyone that remembers the bent axle fiasco, it has come back to haunt me. It started with a flat tier. I noticed one of the shackles that hold the rear axle to the springs broke. I suspect it was bent and straighten. Any way 24 hours later we were towed to a welder to get it fixed. We were 6 miles inside Canada with a pay phone in Alaska. We crossed the border three times and really know the rout well. We are in Tok Alaska with Sherry. Life is good. Hopefully the camper will be on the road tomorrow. Here is some pictures of the Norther Rockies. They are not as high, most passes were under 3,500 ft. The wild life is abundant. We saw several bears, bison, deer and sheep.

5 hard days

It has been cold and rainy for the past 3 days. We have been getting up at 4 and on the road by 5 it is already day light when we get up. Darlene sleeps while I drive. The cruise control died so we have to drive the old fashion way. I picked up parts to fix while passing thru Dawson creek. 1300 miles to go.
