MacKay and Hamilton Island Austraila

Brian and Jeanie took a tour while I stayed on the boat for the electrican. Here is an interesting street sign.

As were traveling to Hamilton Island we saw several whales, but they didn't give us the display we had coming into MacKay.

Here is a sunset from the boat in our slip.

On Hamilton Island, a resort island, there is a small zoo. We were able to see some of the native animals that we would otherwise miss.

                                                               Southern hairy-nosed Wombat

We took a tour on Proerspin River, which is loaded with salt water crocks, and a trip through the outback. The guide was very informative on the plants and their uses.

Is that a crock next to Jeanie

Vanuatu, Efata

We did the repelling down a waterfall here, the one that Brian had a broken rope, and fell about 20 feet. He had a safety line so he was not hurt. I even did it twice so Jeanie could experience the adventure.

Jeanie requested a photo with this guy.

Vanuatu, Tanna

For all the people that worried I wouldn't get my coffee on this trip.

We visited the local village and thought about eating dinner here.

Yes this is the restaurant!

The local Yacht Club was nice.

                                                A view of the Anchorage.

The Volcano was awesome

Fiji

As we approached Fiji, the clouds in the mountains gave a interesting photo.

We were in Fiji for repairs and completed them in time for Brian's daughter and son-in law to arrive. We took a rafting tour up into the mountains.  The rapids were class 2 and 3 with lots of excitement and great scenery.

This was the view after about a hour trip up a steep dirt road

Our guide, he does this almost every day, can you tell by his arms?

We visited a local village for a Kava ceremony and a  demonstration of clay pottery without a wheel or a kiln. The pottery is fired in a open fire.
